Job Title: Oracle DBA + Apps / Service Delivery Manager
Location: Pittsburgh, PA – Hybrid
Type of Hire : Contract
Rate – $50-$55/Hr on W2(without benefits)

Job Description:

  • Strong communication and intrapersonal skills.
  • Act as liaison between Functional and Infrastructure teams translating business requirements into technical requirements working directly with key stakeholders.
  • Represent Oracle Database and Application Infrastructure teams in CAB meetings entering change controls as necessary.
  • During Unplanned Outages, act as liaison between GIS infrastructure teams and Oracle COE functional teams; Enter and update Service Impact Notifications and participate in post-mortem impact reviews.
  • Develop and maintain Oracle Non-Production environment cloning schedules.
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with functional and infrastructure teams.
  • Oversight for operations tools including Planview, Infra, and Oracle MOS.
  • Plan, document and run regular Oracle EBS environment meetings ensuring communication/coordination of IT Custodians with G.O. IT infrastructure teams.
  • Ensure Operations Interoperability – facilitate GIS infrastructure projects to ensure delivery of operations for G.O. based Oracle environments.
  • Work directly with the Linux Admin, SDPS (Backup and Storage), Citrix, Desktop Design, Global Operations (GOC), Internet, IT Service Desk and IT Security Teams.
  • Assist in managing the Oracle Tech ULA aligned to processor counts.
  • Coordinate and author Disaster Recovery documentation and later DR testing.
  • Coordinate patching and other environment maintenance of both Oracle software and Server OS and hardware.
  • Determine impact of non-Oracle infrastructure maintenance on Oracle systems and applications.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle software and system architecture (including EBS 11i, R12, ASCP, Demantra, Active Data Guard) deployed in a way that supports a 24/7 manufacturing business model worldwide.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle Cloud infrastructure and concepts
  • Working knowledge of supporting infrastructure technology such as Red Hat/Oracle Linux, Storage, Backup and Recovery (RMAN, Filesystem), Load Balancing, DNS, Firewalls, FTP, SSL Certificates, Telnet/SSH, Java in Edge/IE

  • Mentor and Knowledge transfer to client project team members.
  • Participate as primary, co and/or contributing author on any and all project deliverables associated with their assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Participate in data conversion and data maintenance.
  • Provide best practice and industry specific solutions.
  • Advise on and provide alternative (out of the box) solutions.
  • Provide thought leadership as well as hands on technical configuration/development as needed.
  • Participate as a team member of the functional team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
