Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Technical Project Manager with robust experience in Databricks, AWS, and medallion architecture. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing data-related projects, including data warehousing and big data initiatives. You will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex data projects, ensuring they meet business objectives and align with our technological strategies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Planning & Management:
- Lead and manage data-related projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align project goals with organizational objectives.
Technical Oversight:
- Oversee the implementation and integration of Databricks, AWS, and medallion architecture in data projects.
- Ensure that solutions are designed and built in accordance with industry best practices and organizational standards.
- Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to address technical challenges and optimize data solutions.
Data Architecture & Strategy
- Apply your expertise in medallion architecture to design and implement scalable and efficient data solutions.
- Guide the development and optimization of data warehousing and big data solutions to support business intelligence and analytics.
- Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and methodologies that align with the organization’s data strategy.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, risks, and changes.
- Facilitate communication between technical teams and business units to ensure project requirements are clearly understood and met.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and issues related to data projects and develop mitigation strategies.
- Proactively address and resolve project-related problems, escalating when necessary.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and performance requirements.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits to validate the integrity and reliability of data solutions.
Experience:
- Minimum of 15+ years of experience in technical project management, with a focus on data-related projects.
- Proven experience with Databricks, AWS, and medallion architecture.
- Demonstrated expertise in data warehousing, big data technologies, and data integration.
Skills:
- Strong project management skills, including proficiency with project management tools and methodologies.
- Excellent understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and ETL processes.
- Effective communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Certifications: PMP, Agile, or similar project management certification is desirable.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with additional cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
- Knowledge of machine learning and advanced analytics concepts.
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements related to data.
