A PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) Functional Business Analyst (BA) is a crucial role in bridging the gap between IT and the business, providing strategic analysis and solutions for PLM projects. Here are some of the typical responsibilities and qualifications for this role:

 

Responsibilities:

. Testing and deploying PLM solutions³.

. Providing ongoing technical support to end users³.

. Architecting solutions to ensure effective use of product lifecycle management systems per industry standards and best practices³.

. Analyzing the current technology infrastructure and its ability to support business objectives³.

. Assisting with Teamcenter technical presentations and demonstrations to prospects and existing customers⁴.

. Working closely with Sales Account Managers on opportunities and projects⁴.

. Providing sound technical advice to the project manager⁴.

. Running workshops and being able to gather requirements⁴.

Qualifications:

. A relevant degree such as Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Business, Education, Engineering, Project Management, Management, MBA, Computer Science, Finance, Business/Administration¹.

. Certifications like PMP, PMI, PRINCE, PMBOK, PRINCE, APICS, PMO, JCNIA, CCNA, FMA may be required¹.

. In-depth knowledge of Connect and MHHE digital products across business units¹.

. Good understanding of operations management¹.

. Project Management Certification (PRINCE II, PMP, Agile or otherwise) and be an outcome-focused self-starter¹.
