Role :- DB2 Database Administrator
Location :- Clayton, MO (Onsite)
Job Summary:-
- Knowledge on core concepts of DB2 LUW. L2 L32
- Extensive experience with planning, documenting and performing upgrades and migration, setting up new database environments.
- Experience in problem analysis and troubleshooting database related issues.
- Provide performance tuning support to development teams for resolving issues with space usage, stored procedures, SQL Tuning and application monitoring.
- Analyze and tune SQL statements and indexes; make performance recommendations to development teams.
- Understand metadata, metrics, trending, and automation.
- Advanced scripting skills required.
- Advise developers for best practice, rollout implementation support.
- Work with vendor for tuning recommendations.
- Implement fixpacks and security patches when required.
- Participate in disaster recovery exercises.
- Knowledge on DB2 HADR, HACMP. Qreplication knowledge is preffered.
- Monitor production databases and dbm settings, adjusting for optimal performance and throughput.
- Configure DB2 Connect Server and Client, and install ODBC drivers.

(2.) To ensure positive customer experience and CSAT through First Call Resolution and minimum rejected resolutions / Reopen Cases
(3.) To participate or contribute on EN business in creation of proposals to drive Service improvement plans.
(4.) To independently resolve tickets & esnure that the agreed SLA of ticket volume and time are met for the team.
(5.) To provide support for on call escalations /L3 level support and doing incident & problem management
(6.) Work on value adding activities such Knowledge base update & management, Training freshers, coaching analysts & conducting interviews/participation in hiring drives.
