We are seeking an experienced and dynamic AWS DevOps Engineer to join our growing cloud infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AWS services, including CloudFormation, CodePipeline, and Terraform Cloud, along with a solid understanding of CI/CD tools like CircleCI, Bamboo, and project management tools such as Jira and Confluence. This role requires strong scripting skills to automate infrastructure, build pipelines, and maintain a robust cloud environment
Key Responsibilities:
· Infrastructure Management:
o Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS CloudFormation, Terraform Cloud, and other IaC tools.
o Automate provisioning and management of AWS resources such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, and more.
o Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure infrastructure is secure, reliable, and cost-effective.
· CI/CD Pipeline Automation:
o Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like AWS CodePipeline, CircleCI, and Bamboo to automate deployment and infrastructure changes.
o Integrate automated testing, security scanning, and monitoring into pipelines to ensure fast and reliable software delivery.
o Optimize CI/CD workflows for faster build, test, and deployment cycles.
· Scripting and Automation:
o Write and maintain scripts (Bash, Python, Ruby, etc.) to automate cloud resource management, deployment, monitoring, and log aggregation.
o Develop scripts to automate routine tasks, infrastructure provisioning, and system updates to improve operational efficiency.
o Integrate automation scripts with cloud monitoring tools like AWS CloudWatch and third-party solutions to ensure visibility into infrastructure performance.
· Cloud Security & Compliance:
o Implement AWS security best practices, including the management of IAM roles, VPC security groups, and encryption mechanisms.
o Ensure compliance with security standards and audit requirements using AWS tools such as CloudTrail, Config, and GuardDuty.
· Project Management & Collaboration:
o Use Jira for issue tracking, backlog management, and agile project management to track progress on infrastructure and DevOps tasks.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Confluence to document processes, architecture, best practices, and troubleshooting guides.
o Communicate effectively with developers, operations teams, and management to ensure alignment on infrastructure changes, deployments, and project milestones.
· Monitoring & Incident Response:
o Implement and manage monitoring and alerting solutions using AWS CloudWatch and other third-party tools to ensure system health, performance, and uptime.
o Respond to infrastructure incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions to minimize future incidents and downtime.
· Cost Optimization:
o Continuously evaluate and optimize AWS cloud spend by leveraging cost-control strategies like right-sizing instances, utilizing Reserved Instances, and optimizing auto-scaling policies.
o Use tools such as AWS Cost Explorer, AWS Budgets, and Trusted Advisor to manage and optimize cloud costs.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an AWS DevOps Engineer or similar role, with expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform Cloud, AWS CloudFormation, and AWS CodePipeline for infrastructure automation and CI/CD processes.
- Solid experience with CircleCI and Bamboo for managing continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Bash, Python, Ruby) to automate tasks and manage infrastructure.
- Familiarity with key AWS services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, and ELB.
- Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and hands-on experience managing environments.
- Experience using Jira for issue tracking and project management in an agile environment.
- Proficiency in using Confluence for documentation and knowledge sharing within teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer).
- Experience with serverless architecture and AWS Lambda.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (VPC, Load Balancers, DNS, VPNs, etc.).
