Job description:-   United States and have extensive experience in government or school district settings.

 

 

Must Have Skills-

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Applied Math, Statistics, Data Science, or equivalent from an accredited university in the United States.
  • At least eight (8)+ years of experience providing services as listed in the Statement of Work (SOW).
  • Experience coding data science solutions using R and/or Python.
  • Experience building statistical models and creating predictive/forecasting models.
  • Experience managing data science models from requirements gathering to production release and optimization.
  • Clearly communicate data science model details and support findings with simulations.
  • Experience in a government, school district, or related setting
  • Experience using collaboration software – Posit Workbench, Databricks, Hex, or similar.
  • Ability to train team members on code collaboration using GIT and provide training on statistical models and methods.
  • Ability to explain complex statistical models and concepts to non-technical users.

 

 

Job Description

Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist with a strong background in computer science, applied mathematics, statistics, or data science. The ideal candidate will possess a Master’s or Ph.D. from an accredited university in the United States and have extensive experience in government or school district settings. This role involves developing and implementing data science solutions, building statistical models, and collaborating with a data science team to optimize performance and ensure effective communication of complex concepts.

 

Responsibilities

·         Develop and code data science solutions using R and/or Python.

·         Build statistical models, create predictive/forecasting models, and understand algorithmic bias and its implications.

·         Manage the entire lifecycle of a data science model, from requirements gathering to production release, performance assessment, and optimization.

·         Clearly communicate the details of data science models to peers and support findings with simulations.

·         Support the Data Science Team using collaboration software such as Posit Workbench, Databricks, Hex, or similar.

·         Train the Data Science Team on code collaboration using GIT and provide training on statistical models and methods.

·         Explain complex statistical models and concepts in clear, understandable language for non-technical users.

·         Configure and troubleshoot Linux servers for hosting data science tools.

·         Document code, server settings, software settings, and workflows to ensure lasting processes.

·         Experience configuring and troubleshooting Linux servers for hosting data science tools.

·         Strong documentation skills for code, server settings, software settings, and workflows.
