Role: PowerBI Developer

Must Have Skills:
• Proven 5-8 years of experience as a Power BI Developer with a strong portfolio of built reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
• Proficient in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, Power Query, and custom visuals.
• Hands-on experience working with Snowflake data warehouse, including integration, data modeling, and SQL querying.
• Strong understanding of data modeling concepts (star schema, snowflake schema, etc.) and the ability to design scalable data models.
• Hands on experience with Oracle, PL/SQL and conceptual understanding of embedding reports in a portal environment.

Job Spec:
We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer with hands-on experience in integrating data from Snowflake, building intuitive dashboards, and delivering actionable insights. This role requires expertise in Power BI report development, as well as a strong understanding of Snowflake as a cloud-based data warehouse. The Power BI Developer will work closely with business analysts, data engineers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into impactful visualizations and reports.
Key Responsibilities:
• Power BI Report Development:
o Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations that help stakeholders make data-driven decisions.
o Work with business analysts and end users to understand requirements and deliver reporting solutions that address business needs.
o Implement advanced Power BI features, including DAX, Power Query, and custom visuals to enhance the reporting experience.
• Data Integration and Modeling:
o Work with Snowflake data warehouse to create and manage data models that power Power BI reports and dashboards.
o Develop and optimize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for seamless data integration from Snowflake to Power BI.
o Write efficient and optimized SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and transform data from Snowflake to Power BI.
• Performance Optimization:
o Optimize Power BI report performance, ensuring that large datasets from Snowflake are handled efficiently and queries run quickly.
o Use best practices to improve Power BI report and dashboard load times while maintaining accuracy.
Required Qualifications:
• Experience & Skills:
o Proven experience as a Power BI Developer with a strong portfolio of built reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
o Proficient in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, Power Query, and custom visuals.
o Hands-on experience working with Snowflake data warehouse, including integration, data modeling, and SQL querying.
o Strong understanding of data modeling concepts (star schema, snowflake schema, etc.) and the ability to design scalable data models.
o Knowledge of ETL tool and reporting in general
o Hands on experience with Oracle, PL/SQL
o Conceptual understanding of embedding reports in portal environment
o Experience with large-scale data visualization, managing performance issues, and implementing best practices for BI reports.
o Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot data or report issues.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Snowflake-specific features, such as Snowflake data sharing, Snowpipe, or Snowflake Streams.along with familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP in relation to Snowflake.
• Hands on python skills are nice to have
• Familiarity with other BI tools or data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, QlikView) is a plus.
