About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure Engineer with extensive experience in managing Windows Server environments in both on-premises and cloud-based settings. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in patching, backups, migrations, and implementing Active Directory. This role requires expertise in both server-level support and custom production application support, working with a variety of frameworks and technologies, including Java, .Net, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, and various Warehouse technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Windows Server Management: Manage and maintain Windows Server environments in hybrid settings (on-premises and cloud).
- Disaster Recovery & Uptime Management: Provide guidance on disaster recovery processes, uptime management, and best practices for infrastructure stability.
- Patching & Updates: Perform regular patching and updates to ensure system security and stability.
- Backup Operations: Oversee backup operations and recovery processes in mission-critical environments.
- Server Migrations: Plan and execute server migrations, including moving workloads from on-premises to the cloud.
- Application Support: Provide server-level support and troubleshoot issues for production applications across multiple frameworks/technologies (e.g., .NET, Java, SQL, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Security Management: Work with security tools like Tenable for vulnerability remediation and ensure proper server security configurations.
- Patch Management: Utilize tools like SCCM for automated patch management and deployment.
- Disaster Recovery Planning: Craft and implement disaster recovery (DR) plans to ensure minimal downtime and prevent data loss.
- Networking: Apply strong networking knowledge, understanding OSI layer functionality, and network protocols.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to address infrastructure needs and support application deployment.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Windows Server: 6+ years of experience in hybrid environments (on-premises and cloud).
- Disaster Recovery & Uptime Management: 6+ years of experience providing guidance on DR and uptime management.
- Patching & Updates: 6+ years of experience in regular patching and system updates.
- Backup Operations: 6+ years of experience overseeing backup operations in mission-critical environments.
- Server Migrations: 6+ years of experience planning and executing server migrations, including cloud transitions.
- Application Support: 6+ years of experience providing server-level support for production applications.
- Security Tools: 6+ years of experience working with security tools like Tenable for vulnerability management.
- SCCM: 6+ years of experience using SCCM for automated patch management and deployment.
- Disaster Recovery Planning: 6+ years of experience crafting and implementing DR plans.
- Networking: 6+ years of strong networking knowledge, including OSI layer functionality and network protocols.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Microsoft Certifications: Certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate, Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, etc.
- Networking Certifications: Certifications such as Network+, CCNA, etc.
