Senior Data architect (Insurance Background must P&C) equally proficient in pre-sales, delivery and contributing to practice development. Work closely with data practice heads, sales leaders and account executives to align on business goals, identify opportunities and drive action.
Requirements
Job requirements and responsibilities:
- Experience designing and implementing Enterprise Data Warehouses (EDW), lakehouses and related technologies like data mesh, and data marts
- Conduct assessments and define target state recommendations, and enterprise roadmaps for enabling a data-driven Analytics organization
- Responsible for the delivery of a robust scalable data architecture that meets the business goals of the organization and collaborate with the Application Development team to analyze, identify, design and implement processes for sourcing data
- Provide technical thought leadership on High Level Architecture and Design, data modelling, Data strategy & adoption for Ingestion and Analytics Applications within the IT domain
- Skilled in Cloud platforms (any hyperscaler – AWS/Azure/GCP) – experience around readiness, provisioning, security and governance
- Keeping up to date with cloud computing best practices. Well versed and skilled in AWS Well Architected Framework pillars, ensuring customers are following best practices, guidance, and recommendations to develop cloud solutions that are secure, resilient, efficient, and managed with operational excellence.
- Hands on knowledge of configuring Virtual Private Clouds (VPC), subnets, and route tables and setup best practice Security Group configurations.
- For Azure – Experience with core Azure services related to data and analytics – examples: Synapse (DW), Data Lake, Databricks, Data Factory, Power BI
- For AWS – Experience with core AWS services related to data and analytics – examples: Apache Iceberg, S3, DynamoDB, Redshift
- Preferred knowledge on Snowflake and Databricks technologies
- Design and build robust, high-performance, and adaptable solution optimal for modern platform (Big Data/Relational/No-SQL/OLAP) with ability to integrate technical functionality
- Expert level skills in Data modelling (Dimensional & Relational) concepts like Star – Schema Modelling, Snowflake Schema, Modelling, Fact and SCD (Slowly changing dimension)
