Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced SQL Server DBA with a strong focus on database security to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in redesigning and modernizing database security for SQL Server environments.
Responsibilities:

Redesign and modernize SQL Server database security to meet current best practices and compliance requirements.

Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and guidelines for SQL Server databases.

Perform security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement necessary controls.

Manage and monitor database security configurations, including roles, permissions, and encryption.

Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure secure database design and implementation.

Provide guidance and support to junior DBAs and other team members on security best practices.

Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies related to SQL Server.
Qualifications:

7+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA, with a focus on database security.

Strong understanding of SQL Server security features and best practices.

Experience in redesigning and modernizing database security.

Proficiency in SQL Server database administration, including backup and recovery, performance tuning, and high availability.

Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements related to database security (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOX).

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate) are a plus.
