Job Position: PLM Tester
Location: Austin, TX / Sunnyvale, CA / Detroit, MI.
Key Responsibilities:

Test Planning and Design:
- Develop detailed test plans and test cases based on functional and technical specifications.
- Review requirements and design documents to ensure a thorough understanding of the PLM system.
- Collaborate with business analysts and developers to clarify system specifications.

Test Execution:
- Execute manual and automated test cases for PLM systems, including functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
- Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools.
- Verify fixes and perform regression testing.

Test Automation:
- Develop, maintain, and enhance test automation scripts using relevant tools and frameworks.
- Ensure automated tests are integrated into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.

Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and business users to ensure the PLM system meets business needs.
- Provide regular updates on testing progress, risks, and issues to project stakeholders.

Documentation:
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test cases, test scripts, and test results.
- Document and communicate defects and issues to the development team for resolution.

Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that all aspects of the PLM system are thoroughly tested and comply with company standards and industry best practices.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.

Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in software testing, with a focus on PLM systems.
- Experience with PLM software such as Siemens Teamcenter, Dassault Systèmes ENOVIA, or PTC Windchill.
- Familiarity with test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, or HP ALM.
- Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, QTP, or similar.

Skills:
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in writing SQL queries for database validation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Certifications: ISTQB or similar certification is a plus.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies.
- Occasional travel may be required.
