Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Go Programmer with strong expertise in AWS to join our team. In this role, you will take a lead in architecting and developing the client’s platform, ensuring its scalability, reliability, and performance. You will work independently, collaborate closely with the team, and mentor offshore counterparts to enhance the overall capabilities of our engineering function.
Key Responsibilities
- Go Development: Design, develop, test, and deploy applications using the Go programming language, adhering to industry best practices.
- AWS Cloud Infrastructure: Utilize AWS services to build and maintain cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
- System Architecture: Take ownership of architectural decisions for the client’s platform, improving existing components and designing new systems as needed.
- Collaboration & Mentorship: Work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams, and provide mentorship to offshore counterparts.
- Continuous Improvement: Engage in code reviews, implement best practices, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the team’s development and deployment processes.
Qualifications
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years of professional experience in Go programming.
- AWS Expertise: Strong understanding of AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.) and experience in deploying and managing applications on AWS.
- Architecture & Design Skills: Demonstrated experience in designing complex systems for cloud-based environments.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Ability to work independently and guide junior or offshore developers, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Proactive in identifying issues and solving them with innovative and scalable solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization tools like Docker.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience in a fast-paced, remote environment.
