Job Description:
VDOT ITD is seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Senior SharePoint and Power Platform Developer. The candidate will be responsible for developing applications using Microsoft Power Platform components, including Power Apps (both canvas and model-driven apps), Power Automate, and Dataverse. The role requires adherence to best practices and methodologies while configuring, developing, and automating business processes. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills for effective engagement in both technical and business requirement discussions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure and manage Dataverse.
- Create and configure Power Apps (both Canvas and Model-driven Apps) and Power Automate workflows.
- Design and implement business process automation.
- Lead functionality discovery workshops and requirements gathering sessions.
- Develop solutions using .NET, SQL, Azure, and C#.
- Understand business challenges, map solutions to identified use cases, and develop apps using Power Platform.
- Integrate APIs or REST services with multiple data sources.
- Participate in code reviews and enforce standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot Power Platform issues, document solutions, and collaborate with system administrators and IT resources.
- Create design solutions and documentation for common use case scenarios.
- Preferred experience with DevOps in Power Platform (Power Pipelines/ALM Accelerator).
- Develop and disseminate documentation on platform usage, including requirements, recommendations, and technical analysis.
- Prepare mockups/prototypes and provide solutions based on Power Platform features and tools.
- Adhere to best practices when implementing business solutions and define/refine governance for platform use at VDOT.
- Participate in Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes.
