Job Summary:

The Virginia State Police (VSP) is seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Consultant to assist with the design, development, and support of DocuSign workflows integrated with complex Java/JEE programs. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Java development, DocuSign API integration, and AWS technologies. This position requires 100% on-site presence, and candidates must be comfortable with both interviewing and working on-site.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and Development: Collaborate on the design, development, and support of DocuSign workflows integrated with Java/JEE applications.
  • API Integration: Integrate DocuSign APIs using WebHooks and ensure seamless interaction with Java applications.
  • AWS Technologies: Leverage AWS services including Serverless Lambda, SQS/SNS, API Gateway, AWS WAF, AWS Secrets Manager, IAM, and DynamoDB for application development and support.
  • Java Development: Develop and maintain complex, large-scale Java/J2EE applications. Work with technologies such as HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and SQL.
  • Web Services: Implement and support SOAP and REST Web Services, and work with Spring, JDBC, JPA/Hibernate, and JMS.
  • Modeling and Documentation: Conduct relational and object-oriented modeling, and create technical requirements specification and design documentation.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Troubleshoot and support complex multitiered applications and provide solutions to technical issues.
  • Team Interaction: Collaborate effectively within a team environment and contribute to project success.
  • Communication: Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills.

Required Skills:
  • DocuSign API Integration: 3+ years of experience with DocuSign API integration using WebHooks.
  • AWS Technologies: 3+ years of experience with AWS Serverless Lambda, SQS/SNS, API Gateway, AWS WAF, AWS Secrets Manager, IAM, and DynamoDB.
  • Java Development: 5+ years of experience in Java/J2EE development with large-scale applications, including HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and SQL.
  • Web Services: 3+ years of experience with SOAP & REST Web Services, Spring, JDBC, JPA/Hibernate, and JMS.
  • Modeling and Documentation: 2+ years of experience with relational and object-oriented modeling, and technical requirements specification and design documentation.
  • Troubleshooting: 3+ years of experience troubleshooting and providing support for complex multitiered applications.
  • Team Environment: 3+ years of experience successfully interacting in a team environment.
  • Communication Skills: 3+ years of effective oral and written communication skills.

Highly Desired Skills:
  • OKTA Integration: 2+ years of experience with OKTA integration.
  • UNIX and Scripting: 2+ years of experience with UNIXOS, UNIX Shell Scripting, PL/SQL, and UML.
  • IBM WebSphere: 2+ years of experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server, IBM WebSphere Liberty, and Oracle RDBMS.
  • Spring Technologies: 2+ years of experience with Spring Batch and Spring Boot.
  • Data Migration: 2+ years of experience with large-scale data migration.
  • Microsoft Office: 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Agile Environment: 2+ years of experience working in an agile environment (scrum, kanban, or scrumban).

Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Work Environment:
  • On-Site Requirement: 100% on-site presence is required for this role.
