ABOUT THE ROLE:
Seniority Level/Target years of experience – 3 + years of Network Support experience in a large environment.
 Top 3-5 Technical Skills –

    • Hands on experience with Network Migration Projects
    • Hands on experience with Network Refresh Projects
    • Hands on experience in MDFs and IDFs by decommissioning and installing network hardware.
    • Hands on experience with Cisco Network switches and routers

Project Scope/Details/Responsibilities – Network Engineer will be responsible for supporting network migrations.
Network Engineer will be responsible for supporting network migrations, under the guidance of DGIT Network senior staff. Tasks include network documentation, refresh hardware, and assisting in projects to improve the organization’s IT infrastructure.

Objectives

  • Provide on-site network support in accordance with IT policies and implement them effectively.
  • Provide on-site support on a variety of network hardware and software issues by identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems. 
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with the network staff.
  • Maintain and analyze switches and routers.
  • Coordinate hardware repairs with the appropriate vendors. 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Hands on experience with Network Migration Projects
  • Hands on experience with Network Refresh Projects
  • Hands on experience in MDFs and IDFs by decommissioning and installing network hardware.
  • Hands on experience with Cisco Network switches and routers

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or technical degree preferred
