Network Operations Engineer
Job Responsibilities
What are the core responsibilities this person will have day in and day out?
- – Deploy and support IT infrastructure, including network, servers, voice and data communications, wireless, production systems, and phone system hardware. Depending on the situation, support may be needed either onsite or remote.
– Lead IT projects, such as addressing infrastructure needs for new site builds or acquisitions.
– Perform onsite and remote troubleshooting, installations, and project execution.
– Assess current and future IT requirements and provide consultation to business leaders and end users working with Engineering and Architecture teams
– Develop and maintain up-to-date documentation for network and systems operations.
MUST HAVE skillsets
– Minimum of 3 years of experience in roles such as Network Administrator, Systems Analyst, Systems Engineer, or a similar IT position.
– Experience in managing vendors and contractors, including managing and validating scopes of work. IT project management experience is advantageous.
– Hands-on experience with installation and troubleshooting of: Cisco and Meraki switches, routers, access points, Ubiquiti wireless bridges, servers, IP phones, and production line computer systems.
– Capability to configure, upgrade IOS, and troubleshoot issues using the Cisco command line interface.
NICE TO HAVE skillsets
- Preferable experience in supporting IT within a manufacturing environment or with production systems.
Education Requirements?
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required; CCNA certification is a plus.
