Must-Have Skills:

  • Proven experience in networking operations, with a solid understanding of LAN/WAN environments and associated technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with current Cisco networking equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, access points) and Cisco IOS.
  • Strong understanding and troubleshooting skills in LAN/WAN technologies, including routing, switching, VLANs, IP addressing, and VPNs.
  • Expertise in implementing and managing wireless networks, including Wi-Fi design, deployment, and security protocols.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with Cisco SD-WAN solutions, including design, deployment, and management.
  • Familiarity with network automation tools and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible).
  • Experience with cloud-based networking solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure networking).

Job Description:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Network Engineer to support our team onsite. This role will focus on maintaining, optimizing, and troubleshooting local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and wireless network infrastructures. The ideal candidate will also have experience with Life Cycle Management (LCM) of network hardware and software, ensuring the network remains efficient, secure, and reliable throughout its life cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, and manage LAN and WAN networks to ensure optimal performance and uptime during the contract period.
  • Implement and maintain wireless network solutions, including Wi-Fi deployment, configuration, security, and troubleshooting.
  • Oversee the Life Cycle Management (LCM) of network hardware and software, including selection, installation, upgrades, and decommissioning.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues related to hardware, software, and infrastructure.
  • Monitor and assess network performance, providing ongoing support and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to implement new network solutions and optimize existing systems.
  • Apply network security best practices, including patch management and configuration changes, to maintain secure network operations.
  • Document network configurations in CMDB, system setups, and processes for ongoing and future support.
