Notes from intake call:
- They just went live on NetSuite in January of this year (moved from Epicor)
- They run several modules- financials, supply chain, order management, etc.
- They have external interfaces for delivery systems, and have multiple workstreams such as order cash, lead to quote, procure to pay, etc.
- Bonus for someone who has retail, wholesale, or manufacturing industry experience
- Everything is highly customized & complex (roughly 200 customizations/scripts that their subdivisions are using)
- Their implementation partner left, there are still some sales order forms that run very slowly because a lot of the customizations were built in XML. They need someone to optimize scripts, and possibly change some of them
- Need someone with development experience- need to write code in SuiteScript (SuiteScript is the JavaScript-based API language they work in), help edit/customize scripts, debug code. Some Netsuite administration is likely as well, but it’s heaviest on the dev side.
- This is a small team (Manager+ 2 other team members). Right now they need a lot of different things in NetSuite space, but most important is fixing configuration issues and writing code/scripts.
- Someone who understands Netsuite processes/administration is preferred- could help fix some support tickets
- They support 300 end users. Person may help them get acclimated to the system. This resource will work directly with end-users at all levels (executives, corporate, etc.).
- Manager is okay taking someone with a few years of experience vs. a senior 10+ year person. They want someone who will learn and grow into the position long-term.
We are looking for a skilled ERP/CRM Developer to join our team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This Contract-to-permanent position offers the opportunity to play a pivotal role in optimizing and enhancing our NetSuite platform to meet evolving business needs. The ideal candidate will leverage their technical expertise to design, integrate, and maintain robust solutions that improve workflows and support data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities:
• Customize and configure NetSuite modules to streamline business processes, including scripting, form creation, and workflow optimization.
• Develop and manage integrations between NetSuite and third-party applications using SuiteScript and middleware tools.
• Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and saved searches to provide actionable business insights.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, ensuring the NetSuite platform operates efficiently and reliably.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Provide training and technical support to end users, promoting effective utilization of NetSuite features.
• Maintain system security by managing roles, permissions, and compliance protocols.
• Regularly test and implement NetSuite updates to ensure system performance and alignment with business needs.
• Proactively recommend and implement system enhancements to optimize performance and scalability.
Qualifications:
• At least 2 years of relevant experience working with NetSuite as a developer or analyst.
• Proficiency in SuiteScript and NetSuite configuration tools, including workflows, custom forms, and dashboards.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to transform business requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience developing and managing API integrations with cloud-based systems.
• Familiarity with ERP and CRM platforms, along with a solid understanding of business process functions.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with teams and explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• NetSuite certification (Administrator, Developer, or Consultant) is a plus.
