Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced .NET SQL Server Developer to join our team in Windsor, CT for a 12-month contract role. This is an on-site position, and the ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing, maintaining, and optimizing .NET applications with SQL Server databases. The candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business requirements.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain .NET applications and SQL Server databases.
• Write efficient, scalable, and well-documented code using C#, ASP.NET, and related technologies.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database schemas for performance and functionality.
• Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and other developers to gather requirements and deliver software solutions.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and performance issues in a timely manner.
• Perform database tuning, indexing, and optimization for improved performance.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with best practices and industry standards.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to coding standards.
• Create technical documentation for applications, databases, and system configurations.
• Support the deployment of applications and databases to production environments.
• Work in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver projects on time and within scope.

 
Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a .NET Developer with expertise in C#, ASP.NET, and the .NET Framework/.NET Core.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server, including database design, T-SQL, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
• Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery is a plus.
• Familiarity with Entity Framework or other ORM tools.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.
• Experience with version control systems like Git or TFS.
• Strong problem-solving skills with an attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
