Role: Sr. Data Engineer (10+ years & Financial Background)

Location: 100% Remote –Must be local of FL, Local DL

Duration: 6+ Months

Visa: No H1B/ OPT/ CPT

Process: Video Interview

Work Setting: The position can be remote; however, local based candidates are preferred.

MUST HAVE:

• 10+ years of exp in data technology, engineering and frameworks; SQL, and PL/SQL; ETL tools commonly used in data engineering; Python Programing; financial background/ exp with financial planning, analysis processes

PREFERRED : CERTIFICATIONS : Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP); Informatica, Power BI, OBIEE, and Tableau.

Required:

• Experience with data technology and frameworks with a background in finance, IT, data governance, and infrastructure related to business/financial planning and analysis processes (10+ years);
• Experience with database systems, data modeling techniques, and SQL proficiency;
• Experience in data engineering, software development, or related roles;
• Experience with ETL tools commonly used in data engineering;
• Experience with Microsoft Office programs;
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field of study.
• Experience with maintaining, optimizing, and expanding data warehouse environments, ensuring data integrity, and access controls;
• Experience with the Oracle EBS data ecosystem, specifically Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE);
• Experience leading ETL and Business Intelligence (BI) initiatives, and utilizing tools like Informatica, Power BI, OBIEE, and Tableau;
• Master’s degree.
• Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), Informatica, Power BI, OBIEE, and Tableau

Responsibilities:

• Provide insights on the current management and usage of data used by Finance departments and suggest possible enhancements;
• Research, evaluate, and recommend appropriate technologies for the data warehouse platform, ETL processes, and reporting tools, including cloud-based solutions, database systems, and data integration tools;
• Help implement robust security measures to protect sensitive financial data, including access controls, encryption, and data masking;
• Map data from source systems to the data warehouse schema, applying necessary transformations, cleansing, and standardization;
• Implement data validation and reconciliation procedures to ensure data accuracy and consistency across the data warehouse;
• Document technical designs, workflows, and best practices to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintain system documentation.
