Power BI Architect

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Power BI Architect with extensive experience in migrating from Tableau to Power BI. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing business intelligence solutions that leverage Power BI’s capabilities, ensuring a seamless transition from Tableau.

Key Responsibilities:
Migration Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive migration strategy from Tableau to Power BI, including data source connections, visualization migration, and testing.

Architecture Design: Design and implement scalable and efficient Power BI architectures that meet business requirements.

Data Integration: Establish and manage data connections, ensuring data integrity and consistency across various sources.

Dashboard Development: Create interactive and visually appealing dashboards and reports using Power BI, ensuring they meet user requirements and business goals.

Performance Optimization: Optimize Power BI solutions for performance, scalability, and usability.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements.

Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users to ensure successful adoption of Power BI.

Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of the migration process, architecture, and best practices.

Primary (Must have skills)*

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling. Experience with Tableau and its migration to Power BI.

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and derive meaningful insights.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Expierence Range

Minimum of 5 years of experience in business intelligence and data analytics, with at least 2 years of experience in migrating from Tableau to Power BI.

Secondary Skills (Good To have)*

Experience with other data visualization tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R).

Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and big data technologies.

Familiarity with data governance and security best practices.

Experience in managing BI projects, including planning, execution, and delivery.

Relevant certifications in Power BI or other BI tools are a plus.

Soft skills/other skills (If any)

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and derive meaningful insights.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Job Description:

Responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing process control hardware and software solutions in a heavy industrial environment. The applicant will support production hardware and software applications, SCADA systems, Graphical HMI applications and LAN communications. The applicant will be knowledgeable in industrial plant process control systems, including programming and technical support.

Job Responsibilities:

The applicant will optimize and improve industrial plant process control solutions to meet business requirements. The applicant will translate business requirements into industrial application solutions and interact with personnel throughout the organization both as an individual and in a team environment.

Capable of:

• Analyzing short and long term hardware, software, equipment, and instrumentation requirements and providing appropriate and cost-effective technical solutions.
• Providing oral and written communication interfaces with departmental management, operations management, operating crews, control system support personnel, system support personnel and others.
• Providing process control support for a 24×7 industrial environment.
