Manual QA Tester (Los Angeles, CA) No OPT/CPT/H1 Pay Rate: $40 /hourly C2C Max Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Manual QA Tester with a strong background in SQL and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products by designing and executing test cases, reporting defects, and collaborating with various teams to address issues. Key Responsibilities: • Design, execute, and maintain manual test cases and test plans. • Utilize SQL to validate data integrity and perform database testing. • Identify, document, and track software defects and issues. • Work closely with business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure thorough testing. • Communicate effectively with team members and business units to provide status updates and address testing-related concerns. • Contribute to the development of test strategies and best practices. • Perform testing on streaming data systems, if applicable, to ensure data accuracy and system performance. Qualifications: • Proven experience in manual software testing. • Proficiency in SQL for querying and validating data. • Experience with streaming data technologies (e.g., Kafka, Spark Streaming) is a plus. • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with business users and technical teams. • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for identifying defects and inconsistencies. • Experience with test management tools is a plus.
