Role: Mainframe z/OS Administrator
Location: Remote
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Mainframe z/OS Administrator with 9+ years of relevant experience in System Programming. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of z/OS and its associated software. This role requires extensive hands-on expertise in z/OS administration, system performance optimization, and security management.
Note: This role is strictly for Mainframe z/OS Administrators
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot technical issues and perform root cause analysis (RCA).
Install, configure, and migrate z/OS and associated software components.
Ensure maximum uptime in compliance with SLA agreements.
Perform system performance monitoring, tuning, and optimization.
Implement and maintain security policies, including RACF administration.
Plan and execute system upgrades, including z/OS, CICS, DB2, and ISV products.
Manage incident, problem, and change management processes.
Perform backup and restoration planning for 24×7 operations.
Define and enforce processes, procedures, and best practices for system management.
Work on storage capacity planning and catalog management.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for performance tuning and troubleshooting.
Participate in disaster recovery (DR) planning and testing.

Experience in Mainframe Automation & Performance/Capacity Management.
Customization experience with OEM/ISV products (NetView, OPS/MVS, SA z/OS, Tivoli, BMC AO, Control-O, etc.).
Hands-on SAS programming skills and ability to retrofit SAS code for MXG post-upgrade.
