Title: Mainframe Developer
Location: Chicago, IL

Job Description:-
Design, Develop, and Maintain COBOL Programs:
- Write, test, and debug COBOL programs to meet business needs.
- Modify and update existing COBOL programs to improve performance or accommodate changes in business processes.
- Develop flowcharts, layouts, and documentation to identify requirements and solutions.
System Analysis and Integration:
- Analyze system requirements and work closely with users to deliver effective solutions.
- Collaborate with other IT professionals to integrate COBOL programs with other systems.
- Ensure data security and integrity in all COBOL applications.
Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users to ensure smooth operations.
- Conduct troubleshooting and debug programs as needed.
- Maintain documentation of program development and subsequent revisions.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures.
- Ensure compliance with coding standards and technical design.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in COBOL programming and best practices.
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Mainframe (COBOL) Programmer/Analyst.
- Strong experience with JCL, PROCS, and CTLCARDS.
- Experience with RMDS, EXPEDITER, and File-Aid for IMS/DB2.
