Job Summary:
Responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines, ensuring the efficient storage, processing, and retrieval of large-scale datasets.
This role requires strong experience in ETL development, data modeling, performance tuning, and cloud-based data solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Architect and Develop: Design and implement scalable data pipelines and solutions using Snowflake, SQL, and ETL tools.
Data Modeling: Create star/snowflake schema data models for efficient querying and analytics.
Performance Optimization: Fine-tune Snowflake performance, including clustering, partitioning, and query optimization.
Data Integration: Develop ETL/ELT processes to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources, ensuring quality and reliability.
Cloud Data Solutions: Work with Azure, AWS to integrate Snowflake within cloud-based data architectures.
Collaboration: Work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and other engineers to understand business needs and deliver high-quality solutions.
Security & Compliance: Implement data governance, access control, and compliance best practices.
Automation & CI/CD: Develop automated workflows, monitoring, and CI/CD pipelines for data engineering processes.
Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation for data architecture, processes, and pipelines.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
- Expertise in Snowflake, including architecture, SQL scripting, and performance tuning.
- Strong SQL and experience with ETL/ELT development.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Proficiency in Python, Databricks for data processing.
- Hands-on experience with DBT, or similar orchestration tools.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing principles, data lakes, and data governance.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and DevOps for data.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
