As a Network Automation Engineer, you will be developing software automation solutions for configuring and monitoring our networking devices, reducing manual tasks, and improving service delivery and reliability. It’s an exciting time to join our team as we implement leading edge automation tools.

What you will do to contribute to the company’s success
• Develops, verifies, and writes automation workflows including Itential (IAP) and Cisco NSO
• Integrates internally developed Python scripts and 3rd party Python libraries with automation platforms.
• Proactively identifies opportunities for network operational teams to minimize or eliminate repetitive work through automation scripts.
• Documents automation processes and workflows.
• Participates in creating automation standards for configuring networking devices.
• This position has the expectation and responsibility to take on other duties needed to help drive our Purpose, fulfill our Brand Principles, and abide by our Organization’s Values.
Qualifications
• Associate’s degree AA or equivalent from two-year college or technical school. Additional experience or training may substitute for education.
• 2 years minimum software development utilizing Python, PowerShell, JavaScript
• Documenting complex processes, split logically into subtasks, and turning into requirements for developers to implement.
• Testing network infrastructure (e.g. routers, switches), Application Programming Interface(API) in lab/ Proof of Concept (POC) environments, documenting results, and working with vendors to address deficiencies.
• Data Handling and Models Extensible Markup Language (XML), Yet Another Next Generation (YANG), Yet Another Markup Language (YAML), JavaScript Object Notation (JSON), Network Configuration Protocol (NETCONF).
• Django or Flask or Node.js.
Preferred
• Large network design including gathering business requirements, developing standards and best practices, and conveying design intent to implementation and support teams.
• Designing network infrastructure deployment orchestration using inventory-backed processes, canonical design definitions, and no operator intervention in steady state.
• Providing feature requests to vendors in a constructive and informative.
• 3 years or more Configuring routers and switches in production environments.
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
• Juniper Network Certified Internet Specialist (JNCIS).

Must Haves
Python Programming : Proficiency in Python, understanding of Python libraries and frameworks (Django , Flask), Knowledge of working with APIs.
Database Technologies : SQL Server , MSSQL , PostgreSQL, Oracle etc
Routers & Switches : Knowledge of configuring and managing routers and switches (Cisco, Juniper, etc.)
Wireless Controllers and Access Points: Knowledge of wireless technologies and devices.
Network Protocols and Standards:
- TCP/IP: Deep understanding of TCP/IP protocols and networking concepts.
- SNMP, SSH, Telnet: Familiarity with network management protocols.
- BGP, OSPF, MPLS: Knowledge of routing protocols and techniques.
VPN Technologies: Understanding of VPN configuration and management.
Network Automation: Ansible , Itential etc .
