Role: Electrical, Instrumentation and Control (E&IC) Engineer

Location Muskegon, MI (ONSITE daily)

**U.S. Experience Required – greater than 9 months**

Keywords: temperature, pressure, level, flow instrumentation, scales, VFD's (variable frequency drives), profibus (communication protocol). Candidate should work with DCS Systems. Industries they work in should be processed-based to use the same types of instruments. It is important to have experience working in a manufacturing plant supporting automation and controls equipment. Need someone that is a problem solver / troubleshooter. Look for companies such as: DeltaV (the name of a DCS vendor), Rockwell (a PLC vendor).

This role requires experience with onsite support and troubleshooting of instrumentation and electrical systems.

Looking for a contractor to assist with commissioning & startup activities

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of instrument application, operation and of the electrical and mechanical principles involved in repair, testing and calibration
• Develop electrical systems design narratives, technical studies, and reports.
• Present technical briefings to management, program officials, and technical staff.
• Adhere to all safety standards and practices.
• Create and deliver concise technical summary reports to customers.
• Prepare and present design reviews for internal and external customers.
• Ensure best design practices are followed and drive process improvements.
• Facilitate and ensure the quality of the project deliverables.

SKILLS
• Proactive mindset.
• Comfortable with debugging and instructing others in how-to debug.
• Natural problem solver with leadership capabilities and consulting experience.
• Skilled in writing protocols and collaboration.
• Demonstrated skill with scripting and test automation.
• Mentor, guide and support junior team members.

• Effectively organize and prioritize tasks to make the most of available time.

Qualifications
• Understanding of a Pharma/Biotech environment.
• Bachelor's or Graduate's Degree in engineering, or certificate/diploma in electrical engineering, or equivalent experience, also time served trade experienced (electrician or process instrumentation technician) also considered that has good startup & commissioning and facility qualification experience
• 5+ years relevant experience in pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry
