Responsibilities:
Data Governance and Quality:
- Champion data governance practices and policies.
- Influence stakeholders to adhere to data standards and best practices.
- Implement data quality frameworks, including profiling, cleansing, deduplication, and monitoring.
Platform Design:
- Understand modern data platform architectures, especially cloud-native solutions.
- Design scalable, reliable, and cost-effective data platforms using AWS services or other cloud providers.
Data Modeling:
- Proficiently create efficient data schemas that meet analytical and operational needs.
- Ensure adherence to performance and scalability best practices.
Data Integration:
- Expertise in integrating data from diverse sources.
- Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools and real-time data integration methods.
Cloud Computing:
- Understand cloud concepts and have hands-on experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with services like S3, Redshift, Glue, and Athena.
Programming and Scripting:
- Proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing, automation, and scripting.
Communication and Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Communicate complex ideas to stakeholders at all levels.
