AM/Clients Notes:

• Cisco Catalyst, Layer 3 route/switch, OSPF protocol, basic wireless
  • Preferred: Nexus core, Cisco wireless, 

• • CCNP

Must Haves:

• Hybrid flexible schedule 3 days onsite initially per week but flexible on which days for cutovers that work best for hospital.
• (rough notes of day to day)
• MOP – route/connection, ICE RNP, cutover, someone onsite to communicate to the unit, add OSPF config, make sure routes, shut down passive, passive route legacy ERP, 30 second
   

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst, Layer 3 routing/switching, and the OSPF protocol, as well as a fundamental understanding of wireless networking. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and manage Layer 3 network environments, ensuring efficient and reliable communication between network devices.
• Implement and troubleshoot Cisco Catalyst switches and routing protocols (OSPF).
• Perform basic wireless network configuration and troubleshooting.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain uptime and network efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless network integration with other IT infrastructure components.
• Maintain network security by configuring and managing firewalls and network access controls.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in networking.

Required Skills:

• Cisco Catalyst configuration and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of Layer 3 routing and switching.
• Experience with OSPF (Open Shortest Path First) protocol.
• Basic understanding of wireless network configuration and troubleshooting.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Nexus core switches.
• Knowledge of Cisco wireless solutions and firewall management.
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification or equivalent.
