Job Title: Linux System Administrator with Ansible Expertise
Location: Atlanta, GA USA (Onsite)
Duration: Contract/Fulltime
Job Summary:
Looking for a skilled and experienced Linux System Administrator with a strong background in
automation using Ansible. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining
our Linux infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance. You will also be
instrumental in automating tasks and processes using Ansible, enhancing our infrastructure’s
efficiency and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage, monitor, and maintain Linux servers and systems to ensure optimal
performance, availability, and security.
• Develop, maintain, and execute Ansible playbooks for the automation of system
provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues on Linux systems.
• Implement and manage security measures, including firewalls, intrusion
detection/prevention systems, and vulnerability assessments.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and
ensure seamless application deployment.
• Monitor system performance and implement optimizations as needed.
• Maintain system documentation and provide training and support to other team members
as required.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies related to Linux and
automation.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Proven experience as a Linux System Administrator, with a strong understanding of
Linux operating systems (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.).
• Expertise in Ansible for automation, including writing and managing playbooks, roles,
and inventories.
• Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or other relevant languages.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM, etc.) and cloud platforms
(AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and firewalls.
• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team
environment.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with other automation and configuration management tools (e.g., Puppet,
Chef, Terraform).
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, ELK
stack).
• Relevant certifications such as RHCSA, RHCE, or equivalent.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent
work experience
