Job Title: Lead PowerBI Developer

Location: Austin, TX / Hybrid

Duration: 12+ months contract

Contract: C2C

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

·       Power BI solutions to meet the reporting needs, ensuring alignment with cloud strategies.

·       Utilize Power BI Embedded Analytics to create interactive dashboards and reports tailored to address specific business challenges and improve decision-making.

·       Work closely with data architects and engineers to ensure seamless data integration between Snowflake, Power BI, and other data sources, maintaining data quality and consistency.

·       Develop data models and establish best practices for data visualization and reporting using Power BI, optimizing performance and usability.

·       Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for self-service reporting and implement solutions that empower end-users to generate insights independently.

·       Conduct testing and troubleshooting of Power BI solutions to ensure accuracy, reliability, and adherence to business requirements.

·       Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI functionality, encouraging adoption and proficiency in leveraging analytics capabilities.

·       Stay updated on the latest developments in Power BI, Snowflake, and cloud technologies, incorporating new features and functionalities into reporting solutions.

·       Participate in project meetings and communicate progress, challenges, and recommendations to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.

 

MUST SKILLS:

·       Advanced knowledge of SQL, database technologies, and data warehouse design philosophies including dimensional modelling, Star, & Snowflake schema.

·       Expert SQL development skills including, but not limited to, table design, queries, table-valued functions, window functions, and index optimization.

·       Knowledge of connecting to a disparate data store and combine data to develop reports.

·       Knowledge in financial risk reporting KRIs and KPIs.
Strong experience in SDLC, DevOps processes CI/CD tools, Git, etc
