He needs a Senior Person who is also or was a Java developer and understands how Config files etc. are used in WAS applications.
And should be able to assist developers and architects from dev teams, in breaking the application while migrating to Liberty. He should be able to explain how you break down the application, how you can standardize and isolate config files.
They should be able to walk them through of what problems they will face and how they should fix them to make them compatible with Liberty.
And along with that they should be able to what’s mentioned in the Profile :
- Analyze the old build process and refactor the same
- Change Build Process and build a new one using Maven
- Breakdown from Monolithic to Distributed Build Process
- Write DevOps pipelines to Build and Deploy the application into Liberty
- Write the pipelines in Gitlab
- Ensure all dependencies are managed in the new build process
- Migrate code from SVN and Bitbucket to Gitlab
- Support Dev Team while they encounter issues post migration from DevOps/Migration standpoint. (Dev Teams would fix or enhance code snippets for migrating into Liberty)
