Position: : Lead Automation Quality Engineer

Location: 100% Remote

Duration: 9 months contract

Job Description

MUST HAVE:
10+ years of experience in test automation- Selenium/.NET/Cucumber/REST Sharp (both UI and API automation)
Experience with jmeter for messaging systems is a must Hands on experience with at least one of the messaging systems – ActiveMQ, WMQ, or Kafka Experience in Couchbase testing /GCPS
Extremely strong with performance testing using Jmeter, K6 etc, this is critical as this project has heavy performance testing part.

Job Description:

Lead Quality Engineers across multiple teams to ensure consistency, adherence to best practices, an Automation-First approach, and enforcement of team working agreements such as the Definition of Ready (DoR) and Definition of Done (DoD).
Evaluate and maintain the testing strategies, approaches, tools and frameworks used by the teams.
Design, develop and execute test automation frameworks and test automation suites.
Provide regular quality and status reports.
Participate in project-wide reviews of requirements, system architecture and detailed design documents.
Act as key point of contact for other Quality Engineers across multiple teams.
Identify and resolve issues that arise when integrating the application software with other software components.

Mentor and guide other Quality Engineers on the QA Process, the testing strategy, tools and frameworks being used and assist them in growing their careers.
Conduct regular performance reviews and conduct interviews.

Basic Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in test automation- Selenium/.NET/Cucumber/REST Sharp (both UI and API automation)
Strong ability to code test scripts preferable in .net
Strong experience with API Testing
Ability to understand application process and take lead in identifying and building test cases
Deep level of knowledge in test plans, test automation design, frameworks, and iterative development
Experience with jmeter for messaging systems is a must
Hands on experience with at least one of the messaging systems – ActiveMQ, WMQ, or Kafka
Experience in Couchbase testing /GCPS
Extremely strong with performance testing using Jmeter, K6 etc, this is critical as this project has heavy performance testing part.
Be able to mentor/direct mid level QEs
Leadership experience with mentoring skills

Preferred Skills:
First-hand experience executing load, stress, API and database tests using enterprise level test automation tools.
An expert in at least one test automation framework, such as Selenium, Tosca, Playwright, TestComplete, SpecFlow, or similar – mobile test automation is a plus.
A deep understanding and real-word experience building automated test suites following Behavior-Driven Design (BDD).
Able to teach the Gherkin syntax to others.
Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in fast-growing environment.
Curious, resourceful and eager to tackle new challenges.
Strong organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
