Job Title: Karnel Developer
Location: Any Mphasis location within USA
Duration: Long-term Contract
Migrate Buildroot 2018.02 with kernel version 4.9.87-linux4sam_5.8. to the most recent buildroot-at91 and linux-at91. that would be Buildroot 2024.02 and Linux kernel version 6.1.
• Develop/ Migrate the Linux Operating System Kernel level Device drivers communication code.
• Understand the design of Microchip SAMA5D27 SOM1 chip. The current OS used to build the system is Ubuntu 18.04 using the Buildroot cross toolchain and Develop/ Migrate the functionality to newer version.
• Understand the develop the Linux substem components execution on Azure hardware platform customized from Atmel SAM chipset reference design.
• Handle Device drivers communication commands using Driver interfaces.
• Design and develop device cum desktop applications for embedded systems.
• Develop software modules based on object oriented programming (OOP) techniques.
• Proficient in developing with C++ on Linux, Ubuntu.
• Experience with QT on Linux in an embedded environment.
• Experience following formal software development lifecycle, including working with requirements, creation of functional/design specifications, code reviews, code coverage and engaging in process enhancements.
• Participate in code, design and test plan reviews.
• Work with global software team members to deliver complete and high-quality software
• applications to schedule and specification.
• Demonstrate strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive, ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Solid development experience On Linux Kernel level subsystem & C++ programming on Linux.
• Very good with data structures, design patterns, object-oriented design and algorithms used in Programming.
• Experience with Qt/QML, Device Drivers communication programming on Linux platform.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience following formal software development lifecycle, including working with requirements, creation of functional/design specifications, code reviews, code coverage and engaging in process enhancements.
Preferred Qualifications:
• B. Tech / M. Tech in Computer Science, Engineering 7-12 years’ experience in the field.
