Job Description: SAP PP/MM Consultant
Responsibilities:
- Lead or participate in the implementation and configuration of SAP PP/MM modules according to business requirements.
- Analyze business processes related to production planning and materials management, identify areas for improvement, and propose SAP solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Customize SAP PP/MM functionalities to meet specific business needs, including master data setup, work center configuration, material master settings, and production scheduling.
- Ensure seamless integration between SAP PP and MM modules as well as other SAP modules such as SD (Sales and Distribution), FI (Finance), and WM (Warehouse Management).
- Extensive experience (typically 5-6 years or more) in SAP PP and MM modules with hands-on implementation and support experience.
- Proficiency in SAP PP/MM configuration, including master data setup, production scheduling, material requirements planning (MRP), procurement processes, inventory management, and logistics execution.
- Strong understanding of SAP integration with other modules such as SD, FI, WM, and QM (Quality Management).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex business processes and propose effective SAP solutions.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in project management methodologies and tools, with the ability to lead SAP implementation projects or work as part of a project team.
- Develop test scenarios, conduct unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing to ensure the quality and reliability of SAP PP/MM implementations.
- Document business processes, system configurations, and technical specifications, and provide training to end-users and support teams.
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for SAP PP/MM modules, troubleshoot issues, and implement bug fixes and enhancements.
- Stay updated with SAP best practices, new features, and industry trends, and proactively recommend improvements to optimize SAP PP/MM processes.
Certifications:
SAP certifications in PP and MM modules are preferred but not always required.
