Job Description
- Responsibilities for cognos developer
- Perform advanced data analysis and integrate database tools with MS Excel
- Utilize Microsoft word to produce clear, concise, and complete technical design and functional specification documentation
- Work on employee and dealer commissioning in a wireless telecom environment
- Develop the application based on the business requirement
- Ensure unit testing is done properly
- Collaborate with Data team to make sure the data is available before the development start
- Address the production defects on time
- Ensure Agile practices are followed effectively
- Cognos subject matter expert that advises business teams and business analysts on Cognos tools and capabilities that best fit needs
- Review report design with offshore development team
- Qualifications for cognos developer
- Develop Cognos reports and dashboards using Cognos Report studio
- Data modeling experience (logical/?physical modeling)
- Minimum 8 years’ of hands-on experience with BI delivery initiatives for data warehouses and related applications using industry standard toolsets
- Hands on development experience with the Cognos Suite using industry best practices
- Experience with developing complex Cognos framework manager models, Dashboards and reports in large, global organizations
- Experience with Report Studio, Workspace Advanced and Workspace
