Job Description:

A “Provider Network Senior Engineer” is a highly skilled IT professional responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a provider network infrastructure, ensuring efficient communication and data exchange between Datacenter/Cloud providers within a network, often involving complex configurations, troubleshooting, and security measures to comply regulations; they typically lead technical projects, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with other teams to optimize network performance and connectivity within the network.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Network Design and Architecture:

     • Develop and implement network designs for provider networks, considering scalability, redundancy, and performance requirements.

     • Select appropriate network hardware and software solutions to support applications.

     • Design and implement network segmentation to ensure data security and compliance.

 

WAN/LAN Expertise:


Thorough understanding of both local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN), including technologies like MPLS, VPNs, and SD-WAN

 

Key Responsibilities:

·         Design and deploy scalable, high-performance service provider networks, ensuring low latency, high availability, and automation-driven operations.

·         Architect BGP-based carrier networks, including MPLS VPNs, EVPN-VXLAN, Segment Routing (SRMPLS/SRv6), and traffic engineering (SR-TE).

·         Work with multi-terabit IP/MPLS backbones, high-speed 400G Ethernet fabrics, and programmable network solutions.

·         Design and optimize QoS policies, hierarchical policing, and buffer management to ensure low latency transport for critical services.

·         Assist in PoC testing, validation, and deployment of new architectures in ISP backbone, metro, and aggregation layers.

·         Monitor network telemetry, streaming analytics, and implement AI-driven network optimizations.

·         Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to engineering teams.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

·         Deep understanding of Arista EOS, Cloud Vision, and network automation.

·         Expert knowledge of MPLS, BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, EVPN-VXLAN, and Segment Routing.

·         Experience with high-speed data center fabrics (400G, spine-leaf, Clos architectures).

·         Strong background in traffic engineering, capacity planning, and QoS for large-scale IP networks.

·         Hands-on experience with DDoS mitigation, security policies, and telemetry-based network monitoring.

·         Arista ACE (Arista Certified Engineer) certification or equivalent preferred.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:


• Cisco/Arisa WAN architecture experience, Cisco ACI, Arista Leaf-Spine • Deep understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, MPLS, VPN)
• Expertise in routing protocol- BGP, MP-BGP, EVPN-VXLAN and Segment Routing.
• Expertise in network hardware and software from multiple vendors
• Experience with network routes manipulates concepts and technologies
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Relevant certifications like CCNP (Provider Network), CCIE or Arista AC3
