Job Title: Tableau and AWS Administrator
Location: St. Louis, MO
 

Job Overview:
As a Tableau and AWS Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our Tableau environment, ensuring high availability and performance of our data visualization tools, and administering our AWS cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with various teams to support data-driven decision-making and ensure seamless integration of Tableau with AWS services.
Key Responsibilities:
1.    Tableau Administration:
o    Install, configure, and maintain Tableau Server and Tableau Online.
o    Manage user permissions, groups, and security settings within Tableau.
o    Troubleshoot and resolve Tableau issues related to performance, data connectivity, and user access.
o    Monitor Tableau server performance and implement tuning and optimization measures.
o    Create and maintain Tableau dashboards and reports as needed.
o    Collaborate with business users to understand reporting requirements and develop effective solutions.
2.    AWS Administration:
o    Provision, configure, and manage AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and more.
o    Monitor and manage AWS infrastructure performance, including cost management and optimization.
o    Implement and maintain security policies and compliance standards within the AWS environment.
o    Perform regular backups, disaster recovery, and ensure data integrity.
o    Automate infrastructure management tasks using AWS tools and scripts (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform).
3.    Collaboration and Support:
o    Work with data engineers, developers, and business analysts to integrate Tableau with various data sources and AWS services.
o    Provide technical support and training to users of Tableau and AWS.
o    Stay current with the latest Tableau and AWS developments and best practices to continually enhance our environment.
Required Qualifications:
•    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
•    Proven experience with Tableau Server and Tableau Desktop, including installation, configuration, and administration.
•    Strong knowledge of AWS services and experience managing cloud infrastructure.
•    Proficiency in SQL and experience with data integration and ETL processes.
•    Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation tools.
•    Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
•    Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
•    Tableau Server Certified Associate or higher.
•    AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator.
•    Experience with data warehousing solutions and big data technologies.
•    Knowledge of other BI tools and platforms.
