Job Description:
- Defining requirements: Documenting system requirements and identifying application characteristics
- Preparing test environments: Setting up performance test environments
- Creating deliverables: Developing project deliverables
- Supporting teams: Supporting QA and development teams
- Developing services: Developing, deploying, and modifying virtual services
- Pointing applications: Pointing applications to virtual services
- Test automation: SDETs create and contribute to test automation tools and frameworks.
- Performance testing: SDETs use key performance indicators (KPIs) like response time, baseline, stress test, and throughput.
- Manual testing: SDETs perform manual testing to ensure all service functionalities are covered before automation.
- Security testing: SDETs improve code quality and make products bug free.
- Collaborating with developers: SDETs review developer code, provide feedback, and understand code design concepts.
- Creating test cases: SDETs design and implement test cases.
- Writing code: SDETs write code to improve software testability.
- Investigating issues: SDETs investigate issues and fix bugs.
- Handling technical communications: SDETs handle technical communications.
- Contributing to quality assurance: SDETs contribute to the overall quality assurance strategy of a project.
