$65-75 (if in Seattle); $55-65 (if in ATL). The final rates are based on which role we can tag the candidates based on their experience & expertise.

Required Skills & Experience:

1. 10+ years in software architecture, with a focus on payment solutions.
2. Expertise in building scalable and secure Merchant payment solutions 
3. Solid understanding of Enterprise Architecture frameworks and methodologies.
4. Substantial experience in designing and executing solutions for complex business problems involving large scale enterprise solutions
5. Proven ability to lead large programs and collaborate with diverse stakeholders (Business, Experience, Operations, and third-party partners)
6. Strong experience with Cloud Technologies and Microservices architecture

Key Responsibilities:

1. Architect and design scalable, resilient, and high-performance payment solutions.
2. Lead the adoption of Microservices architecture principles in key payment capability development [eCommerce, retail payments and recurring]3. Define and enforce best practices for enterprise-wide payment architecture.
4. Partner with cross-functional teams and bring clarity in design and solutions (Business, Experience, Operations, and third-party vendors) to drive solution alignment.
5. Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and performance standards in payment processing.
6. Provide technical leadership in large-scale payment transformation programs.

Expected Domain Knowledge:

  Payment Experience [Card Data Collection]  Payment Functions [Card Present and Card Not Present Functions]  Payment Gateway Functions [Tokenization, Acquirer Integration, Payment Transaction management]  Compliance: PCI Compliance, SOX Compliance, USGCI Compliance

Expected Technical Expertise:

  API Gateway
  Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Java, REST APIs 
  Kubernetes (K8) 
  Storage: NoSQL (Cassandra), Redis, Snowflake
  Message Queues: Kafka, Rabbit MQ
  Analytics & ETL, Batch File processing
