Job Role : Azure SQL DBA
Location- Burlington, MA (Looking for local consultant or Nearby states) 
Onsite from Day 1
12+ Months Contract

Role Description:        

Ensure the availability and optimization of the MSSQL 2016, 2017, 2019 in Hosted and IaaS SQL VM in Azure. Experience with AzureSQL and Managed Instance databases in Azure.

Make sure to follow technical standards and operational procedures to meet database performance, High Availability, replication, scalability, and security requirements in both hosted and cloud environments.

The individual will need hands-on experience in design and trouble shooting real-time MSSQL related issues.? Monitor performance on application databases, queries and suggest/apply continuous tuning.?

The responsibilities include working closely with application teams and other Stakeholders in identifying issues related to MSSQL. ? Must have experience in tuning of database instances. ?

Responsible for coming up with standards to ensure that all application design and code is produced with proper integrity, security, and performance.?

The DBA will perform reviews on the design and code frequently to ensure the site standards are being adhered to. ? Has a good technical understanding and provides technical support to application development teams when necessary.?

Assist in resolving priority incidents to quickly eliminate impacts, participate in root-cause analysis, and support subsequent corrective and preventative actions.?

Work closely with Database Team Lead, collaborate with various Application support and engineering teams to optimize database performance and reliability.?

Senior Database Administrator are encouraged and supported to acquire relevant Azure certifications (e.g. DP-300, DP-900, AZ-900 Exam).?

Establish, maintain, and adhere to CRD technical standards, policies, and procedures.

Education: At least a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, or a closely related field is required for the project
