Job Description: We are seeking a talented Java Architect to join our team in Charlotte, NC, for a client engagement with Infosys. As a Java Architect, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of Java-based solutions, leveraging your expertise in Red Hat OpenShift and Red Hat Middleware technologies.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and architect Java-based applications and solutions based on client requirements and best practices.
  • Lead and mentor development teams in implementing scalable and secure Java applications.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Evaluate and recommend technologies, frameworks, and tools to achieve project goals efficiently.
  • Implement Red Hat OpenShift for container orchestration and deployment.
  • Ensure adherence to architectural principles, design standards, and coding guidelines.
  • Conduct code reviews, performance tuning, and troubleshooting to maintain high standards of code quality and performance.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in Java and Red Hat technologies.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Java Architect or similar role with at least 8 years of hands-on Java development experience.
  • Expertise in designing and deploying applications on Red Hat OpenShift platform.
  • Strong proficiency in Red Hat Middleware technologies (such as Red Hat JBoss EAP, AMQ, Fuse, etc.).
  • Experience in designing and implementing microservices architecture.
  • Solid understanding of cloud-native development principles and patterns.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working in a client-facing role and managing client expectations.
