Job Description: IT Project Manager
Location: Georgia
Duration: 12 Months
Primary Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee IT projects using comprehensive planning, monitoring, and controlling processes to ensure adherence to schedule, budget, and quality standards.
- Develop, clarify, and manage project scope; prepare detailed reports on project status for upper management.
- Identify, track, monitor, and communicate project-related issues, scope changes, variances, and contingencies; facilitate resolutions with stakeholders.
- Maintain awareness of DBHDD applications and systems, understanding their impact during project implementations.
- Effectively communicate project information to key stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Collaborate across the organization to achieve project goals; set and enforce high standards to meet timelines.
- Stay current with leading-edge project management practices; apply knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to support project leads and foster a project management culture.
- Document and communicate project information accurately and precisely.
- Anticipate external changes that could affect project timelines, resources, and budget; develop risk-mitigated solutions.
- Keep project team members informed of events and issues affecting their work, advocate for team concerns when necessary.
- Incorporate business and customer expectations when prioritizing project initiatives.
- Organize and lead timely project meetings, engaging necessary team members to discuss objectives and overcome potential obstacles.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum five years of recent experience in project management with increasing levels of responsibility.
- Ten years of experience managing medium to large-scale IT projects.
- Current PMP Certification.
- At least three years of IT consulting experience.
- Experience as a SCRUM Master and/or Product Owner.
- Advanced proficiency in System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Tools, Microsoft Project, Visio, SharePoint, Outlook, and Azure DevOps.
- Strong skills in conflict resolution, organizational management, analytical thinking, and problem-solving.
- Ability to communicate effectively with management, business stakeholders, and technical personnel.
