Provide support of Windows and Linux Servers, Active Directory, database systems, application integrations, networking and firewall configuration. • 20% APPLICATION SUPPORT Provide technical support for the Online Advising Student Information (OASIS) suite of web applications in addition to cloud-hosted degree auditing software, such as uAchieve and DegreeWorks. Provide Tier 1 support by engaging users in the investigation and documentation of reported issues and coordinating issue resolution. • 10% CYBER-SAFETY Ensure systems adhere to UC IS-3 policy and UC Davis Cyber Security requirements. Provide stewardship of student data protected under multiple federal laws. Participate in continuous quality improvement management initiatives. Effectively, efficiently and independently identify and communicate technical challenges and solutions for use in the unit and in support of undergraduate education.
Minimum Qualifications • Knowledge of the Family Educational Right to Privacy Act (FERPA)* and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA). *(Previous FERPA experience is not necessary; we will require the candidate selected for hire to complete our standard FERPA training). • Experience administering Intel-based server hardware with Microsoft Windows server operating systems.
