Position: GCP Consultant / Cloud Engineer
Location: Phoenix, AZ (Day 1 onsite to Phoenix, AZ and the resource must be in office for three days a week)
Experience : 10+ Years
Job Description:
Cloud Engineer role will deliver on the following responsibilities:
- Implementation of cloud-based infrastructure with automation and security first approach.
- Build life cycle automation for various public cloud services using Terraform and other Infrastructure as code tools – Ansible etc.
- Vulnerability management with strict SLA is a massive focus here at the bank, establishing vulnerability management process, scalable automation to constantly keep prod and non-prod environments safe/secured.
- Produced excellent documentation.
- Follow various KPI for cloud Infrastructure and effectively communicate to leadership team
- Train junior engineers in the team and mentor them
- OnDemand Production support – rotation basis
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Minimum Required Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, Masters preferred in Computer Science.
· Cloud Infrastructure and security – 5 years
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience with GCP – Cloud Function, GKE, BigQuery, Cloud SQL, IAM, Looker, GCS, Firebaser etc is much desired.
- Terraform experience building cloud Infrastructure, ability to write modules, follow SMBC best practices, state files management etc Solid understanding of Linux fundamentals.
- Solid understanding of Linux fundamentals (Linux Inside Azure).
- Infrastructure security scan tools understanding (e.g. basic knowledge of Security Command Center) is good to have.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Team player, ability to work within a team and be independent.
- Excellent verbal and written skills, ability to communicate clearly.
- Innovator and one who keeps tabs on various industry trends, cloud native advances and bring to team(s) attention for POC, Implementation.
Preferred Experiences: GCP certifications
