Job Title: Network Architect

Location : Atlanta or Minneapolis 
( Hybrid Role)

Job Summary:

The Network Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-performance network infrastructures that meet the strategic and operational needs of the organization. This role involves collaborating with IT teams and stakeholders to ensure that network solutions are scalable, secure, and reliable. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of network architecture principles, a strong background in designing complex network systems, and the ability to manage both hardware and software aspects of networking.

Key Responsibilities:

• Network Design & Architecture

• Design and develop network solutions based on business requirements and technical specifications.
• Architect LAN, WAN, data center, and cloud-based network infrastructures to ensure scalability and performance.
• Create network models and prototypes for planned upgrades, new projects, and expansions.

• Implementation & Deployment

• Oversee and execute network installations and upgrades, including hardware and software.
• Lead the deployment of new network technologies, ensuring minimal disruption to existing services.
• Configure and test network systems to validate functionality and performance.

• Security & Compliance

• Implement and maintain network security protocols, including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls.
• Ensure compliance with organizational security standards and industry regulations.
• Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

• Performance Monitoring & Optimization

• Monitor network performance to ensure optimal operation and reliability.
• Analyze network data to identify and resolve performance issues.
• Optimize network configuration and capacity to meet growing demands.

• Documentation & Reporting

• Create and maintain documentation for network architecture, configurations, and protocols.
• Provide regular updates and reports to management on network performance and project status.

• Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with IT teams, project managers, and business leaders to align network solutions with organizational goals.
• Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers for product evaluation, procurement, and support.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Proven experience as a Network Architect or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, SDWAN etc.) and security practices.
• Proficiency in network hardware and software (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers).
• Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and virtualization technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco Certified Network Professional – CCNP, Certified Information Systems Security Professional – CISSP) are preferred.
