Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Oracle DBA with Azure certification and extensive experience in managing Oracle databases within Azure cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database administration, particularly with Oracle databases, along with hands-on experience in Azure cloud services and migration projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and administer Oracle databases deployed on Azure cloud infrastructure.
- Plan, design, and implement database migrations from on-premises to Azure cloud using appropriate toolsets and methodologies.
- Ensure high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) strategies are implemented effectively for Oracle databases in Azure.
- Monitor database performance, optimize queries, and troubleshoot database-related issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable database solutions in Azure.
- Implement and maintain database security best practices in Azure environments.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior team members and other stakeholders.
- Document processes, procedures, and configurations related to database environments in Azure.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Azure Certification: Must be Azure certified, demonstrating proficiency in Azure cloud services relevant to database management.
- Senior Oracle DBA Experience: 10+ years of hands-on experience as a Senior Oracle Database Administrator.
- Azure Infrastructure Knowledge: Strong understanding of Azure infrastructure components and services relevant to database management.
- Database Migration Expertise: Proven experience in successfully migrating on-premises databases (Oracle) into Azure cloud environments using migration toolsets.
- Oracle Database Administration: Expertise in Oracle database administration including installation, configuration, backup and recovery, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- High Availability and Clustering: Strong experience in implementing clustering and high availability solutions for Oracle databases in Azure.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with other database technologies and cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for database automation and CI/CD pipelines.
- Certifications related to Oracle database administration and Azure cloud services beyond basic certification
