Job Title: Technical Business Analyst (UI Benefits Modernization)
Job Location: Des Moines, IA (Onsite 2 Days/Week)
Duration: 12 Months
Position Overview:
Technical Business Analyst to support the Unemployment Insurance Benefits Modernization project. This role requires collaboration with executive-level stakeholders, project management experience, and the ability to facilitate meetings and demonstrate project progress.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct interviews and group sessions to gather and document business requirements.
Perform gap analysis, articulating and documenting business needs for vendor teams.
Coordinate testing efforts, preparing test cases, and documenting results.
Collaborate closely with project managers and subject matter experts (SMEs).
Lead requirement gathering and testing sessions, ensuring compliance with technical specifications.
Facilitate data validation during the migration process.
Requirements:
Experience: Minimum 5 years in technology implementations and software development lifecycle.
Skills:
Eliciting, documenting, and understanding business and technical requirements.
Testing against specifications and documenting results (QA).
Preparing test cases and technical documentation.
Proficient in MS Office, MS Visio, and Jira.
Facilitating meetings with technical and business stakeholders.
Communicating complex concepts effectively to diverse audiences.
Performing Unit Testing, Functional Testing, Usability Testing, System Integration Testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Knowledge of business process analysis, design, and development techniques.
Familiarity with file transfer protocols, web services, and APIs.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in vendor-managed solution development projects.
Skilled in developing and executing testing strategies, test plans, and test cases.
