Position: Scrum Master/Agile Business Analyst

Location: Richmond, Virginia-(Remote)

Duration: 12 Months

 

About the Role:

We are seeking a Scrum Master/Agile Business Analyst with a strong technical background to support the development of Discharge Assistance Planning software at DBHDS. This individual will fulfill a dual role, primarily focusing on backlog grooming, story writing, and assisting the Project Manager and development team with Scrum ceremonies.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Scrum Master Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Project Manager to drive time-boxed iterations (sprints) using agile frameworks.

Support sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and scrum board administration.

Facilitate the removal of impediments to team progress.

 

Agile Business Analyst Responsibilities:

Utilize Agile principles to work with stakeholders, ensuring understanding of Agile benefits and alignment with business needs.

Analyze business domain initiatives to identify epics and feature requirements.

Assist Product Owner in developing and managing product strategy.

Stock and groom the product backlog; break user stories into Minimum Viable Products (MVPs).

Aid the development team in comprehending business requirements and broader project goals.

Translate business requirements into business process flows and functional specifications.

Serve as Proxy Product Owner when required.

 

Skills:

Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, ensuring shared understanding of product vision and requirements.

Flexibility and Adaptability: Capacity to adapt to changing requirements and contribute effectively to cross-functional Agile teams.

Knowledge of Agile Tools and Techniques: Proficiency in tools and techniques that enhance Agile team effectiveness, including backlog management and collaboration tools.

Facilitation Skills: Experience in facilitating meetings and Scrum ceremonies to ensure productive outcomes.

Technical Knowledge: Understanding of technical challenges faced by development teams; technical background preferred.

Scrum Framework: Expertise in Agile/Scrum frameworks and tools.

Certifications: Required – Certified Scrum Master (CSM); Desired – Product Owner certification.

Experience:

Active CSM (Certified Scrum Master): Must be uploaded under the reference tab in Vector.
