Position: SAP MM Lead Consultant

Location: Chicago, IL – Onsite

Duration: 12 Months

Role Description:              

Experience: 8-12 Years

Essential Skills and Role:

  • Process Design and Implementation:
  • Analyzing existing procurement processes and designing optimized workflows within the SAP platform.
  • Configuring SAP modules (MM, Ariba SCC) to support the Source to Pay process, including master data management, purchasing documents, and invoice verification.
  • Implementing new functionalities and updates within the SAP system to improve procurement efficiency.
  • User Training and Support:
  • Providing training to end-users on the SAP procurement functionalities and best practices.
  • Troubleshooting user issues and resolving system-related problems within the Source to Pay process.
  • Reporting and Analytics:
  • Generating reports and dashboards to monitor key procurement metrics like spend analysis, supplier performance, and cost savings.
  • Identifying areas for improvement and implementing process changes based on data insights.
  • Project Management:
  • Leading and managing SAP MM implementation projects, including requirement gathering, configuration, testing, and deployment.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams across the organization to ensure successful project execution
  • 8-12 years of overall experience in SAP, with strong expertise in SAP MM.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP MM module, especially procurement functionalities
  • Understanding of end-to-end S2P process, including best practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in project management and system implementation
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Deep understanding of SAP modules, particularly MM (Materials Management) and Ariba Sourcing and Contracting (SCC).
  • Business Acumen:
  • Knowledge of procurement best practices and ability to align system functionality with business needs.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Experience in identifying and implementing process improvements to optimize the Source to Pay cycle.
  • Communication Skills:
  • Excellent communication abilities to interact with stakeholders across different departments and explain complex technical concepts.
  • Project Management Skills:
  • Ability to manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for SAP implementations.
  • SAP certification(s) is a plus.
  • Experience integrating SAP systems with external systems is required.
  • Knowledge of GXP Processes is required.
  • Ability to collaborate in a cross-functional team environment is required.
  • Experience in testing using qTest, Jira
